These Last Autumn Leaves
In the golden glow of morning light,
Leaves, once clad in emerald sheen,
Now fewer wear hues of crimson and gold,
The time of the season, boldly foretold.

Some photos seem to push me to do more than adjust sharpness, saturation and contrast. Some images make me want to find more than the camera captured — to find their soul, their voice. I’m never sure I’ve really done that, but I like to try, and in trying, perhaps find a bit of myself….

The above is a nighttime photo where the yellow-orange light from a sodium-vapor streetlight casts a Halloween-like, colorful glow on a nearby tree and its bright yellow-orange autumn leaves. The sharp contrast against the surrounding darkness was quite striking, especially with Halloween just around the corner. Thankfully, I didn’t see any demon red eyes glaring…
