This image is wonderful and beautiful. I also like the haiku and just started to read some of Issa’s haiku and journals. Wonderful stuff especially from the tragedy he faced in life.
The quote and the image seem destined to be together. It seems that many poets, writers and musicians do some of their best work from the personal pain and tragedy they may experience. Perhaps it boils down to the core essence of life and truth for those willing and strong enough to recognize and deal with it. Some it destroys, and some it makes stronger.
