“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in–what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.” ― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
Bearded Iris – North Carolina – Mar 2026
I would be remiss if I didn’t post an annual photo of the Bearded Iris in bloom and mention again that they were a favorite of my late mother.
Gerbera Daisies – North Carolina – Mar 2026
I don’t know if it’s the early-spring weather or the severe drought conditions they say we are in, but the Gerbera Daisies have gone wild so far this year. The water drops are from me hooking up the nearby water hose as spring arrives.
Reeve’s Spiraea, also known as Bridalwreath Spirea – North Carolina – Mar 2026
This Bridalwreath Spirea bush is a leftover from a previous owner, and we keep trimming it back, which seems to be exactly what it needs, as it keeps blooming each spring.
This post is all about Spring!! Again it makes me smile.
Yes, it’s very “springy” around here at the moment. Haha!
All beautiful captures. 😊
Thank you, Pepper!
My pleasure. 😊
A quote to remember! I don’t do much with flowers but the Iris is beautiful!
Thanks, Joe. It’s been a surprisingly good spring for flowers so far, even despite being in a severe drought area at the moment.
