Snow Storm, It’s Been A While
I’ve been wishing for some decent snow here for several years now, and it looks like I’m finally getting it this weekend. It’s nice, fluffy snow! For those of you who frequently experience heavy snowfall, please bear with my excitement. Snow brings out my inner child, which can be quite a long haul for this old body. 😉 Cold temperatures come along with the snow for a while. The feels-like temperature will be near 0ºF tonight.
Last weekend was sleet and freezing rain. Not fun!
One of our neighbors said there didn’t seem to be many birds around this year. I just might know where they are. Ha! I counted between 12 and 20+ around our feeder, where I scattered mealworms for them this morning.

I’m always on the lookout for a cardinal with a snowy backdrop.
They are certainly striking against the snow.
I would say the birds are appreciating you restaurant and the menu you are providing. I’m sure they will come back for more at the Moore’s. And you can let that kinner child come out and enjoy life. However, be sure there are enough blankets to keep that inner child warm tonight.
I generated plenty of warmth this morning shoveling the 10-12 inches of snow off the driveway. It’s been clear and sunny all day, and the temperature has managed to climb a couple of degrees above freezing, so there’s been some melting, but I think there will be a lot of icy spots tomorrow morning. The weather forecast calls for 10 degrees F by 5 am tomorrow, with feels-like temperatures around 4 degrees F. This past fall, I bought a really warm, heavy winter coat with a hood; I’m so glad I did. Take care, my friend!
