Digging Out

There’s the beauty of the snow falling, and then there’s the days after, which often include labor with a shovel, wet and slippery travel, and mornings of refrozen ice and eventually mud. We normally get ice here in the Piedmont of North Carolina, but snow like this, 10-14 inches, not so much. Even with all the less pleasant aftermath, I’m enjoying it.

Looks like you might have more than us! We have a good 6-8 inches that is getting pretty well packed down in frequent walking areas. I don’t look forward to the mud season that comes when it all melts. I guess you enjoy the change in scenery while you can. :)

Well, some proper snow there! I’m a bit surprised as it’s nearly as much as we have. Hopefully, it’ll melt faster.
