Halloween Streetlight Fall

The above is a nighttime photo where the yellow-orange light from a sodium-vapor streetlight casts a Halloween-like, colorful glow on a nearby tree and its bright yellow-orange autumn leaves. The sharp contrast against the surrounding darkness was quite striking, especially with Halloween just around the corner. Thankfully, I didn’t see any demon red eyes glaring out at me from the surrounding darkness.
I grabbed this photo while Bentley explored on his own at the end of his leash. I’m getting more practiced at this type of photographic moment —one-handed, made in a few seconds with my phone.

Another well done image and well described by you. Totally glad there were no red eyes following you. More walks with Bentley, please.
Thanks, Monte. Bentley does a good job of demanding his walks.
Kudos on seeing the opportunity. I may be tempted to snap a quick photo with my phone is something catches my eye, but generally walking dogs and photos are activities separated by a large steel-reinforced wall (in my head anyway). :)
Thanks, Mark, and I understand, and it’s not a preferred method for me. Luckily, Bentley likes to sniff around, which gives me rare moments to snap a photo, but most of those are pretty bad. However, I’ve been lucky here lately, getting a couple that I could make something out of. Have a good weekend!
