Yesterday evening, after the passage of a cold front and the associated wind and rain accompanying it, there were signs of the beginnings of fall foliage.  Peak season in the nearby mountains is ordinarily mid to late October and there are many theories of what causes a good color season, dry, hot summers, or wet and cool late summers, etc. but it seems more like a roll of the dice to me.  Higher elevations are usually a couple of weeks ahead of us here.

While fall is my favorite season, this year I’m just happy to see signs the end of 2020 is approaching, in the hopes 2021 might be better.

I’m liking seeing more leaves on the ground as well and the crisper mornings. Hope all is going well settling in your new place. Hopefully discovering some new surroundings as well.

Well, one smashed finger isn’t too bad considering so much being done, though at the moment I am sure it was not. Here’s to a continued productive season and … of course, HOPE!

Enjoy your Fall season Earl, or Autumn as we call it here. It provides some gorgeous scenery in your part of the world which always leaves me a little envious :)

Sorry about the finger, my friend. Sounds like you’ve been a busy guy. I also hope you enjoy the new place and the new adventuers you and Maggie will have. And, your image says it all.
