As I’ve said so many times before, Autumn is my favorite time of year and the mid-point of foliage color change, when some leaves remain green while others are red, orange or yellow is the best-of-best for me.

A piece of advice I’ve heard so often as a key to success is finding a niche and sticking with it until you become “an expert” in it. Yet in photography, in this blog and even in my life I’ve always run counter to that advice. I fear I tend to generalize without reaching great depth in any one area.
That is a rather sensational spot for some quiet contemplation or maybe a scrumptious picnic lunch. Or both. Nothing like contemplating gratitude for a full stomach in an idyllic little corner of nature such as this :)
Cedric, I didn’t get to enjoy lunch there but it was a good place for morning coffee and a few moments of quiet thoughts.

My favorite time of year too, Earl. I especially love the swings in temperature which, near the lake, generally means fog – one of my favorite weather events!
