Bentley Update

May 21st was the one-year anniversary of our adoption of Bentley. We don’t know his birthday, so we’re using that date as a substitute as well. We’re also not sure how old he is, but his vet’s best estimate is 8 to 10 years. I have to admit, at first I was a little reluctant to adopt an older rescue dog whose history we didn’t know, but Bentley’s been mostly a joy. His biggest problem is that he’s reactive to any other dog and has an extremely loud bark for his size. But we’re working on it. Besides that, he’s a snuggle bug and demands daily time sharing laps or chairs.

Bentley is strong-minded but appears to have had some training in the past. He can hold this SIT command position for hours without moving! 🙄
