The picture the camera captures may be only the genesis for what we perceive.

The camera captures a moment in time,
A snapshot frozen, seemingly sublime.
But what we see is more than just that frame,
Our perception shapes it, never quite the same.
The colors, the light, the angle we choose,
All impact the image, we can’t refuse.
Our minds fill in the blanks, create the scene,
A new reality, not just what’s been seen.
So take a picture, let the camera click,
But remember, it’s just the starting trick.
Our perceptions shape the world we see,
Individual illusions, just for you and me.
I am glad you enjoyed your visit to my square and I like your rendering of it.
I’m amazed at your reach and influence, Mark. You’ve got some nice digs!
Wow, on the image and the poem. Both are very well done! I also did not know Mark had that much influence, but I should have suspected it. You are spot on with that last line, “Our perceptions shape the world we see, Individual illusions, just for you and me.”
Thank you, Monte. Yes, It seems (Saint) Mark has been keeping a low profile regarding his true identity. 😉
