“Finding Peace- Poem Excerpt:

Peace is finding your bliss
Without any condition, situation, or person attached to it,
Peace is the tenacity to be you and feel your heart.
Peace is the sound you hear when you circle the scenery of your own soul.
Like a tree, so rooted to what is real
Like the ocean, exquisite and unending, whether people cherish it or not
Like a butterfly, unique and colorful, be it night or day.
Like the moon, full, even when not visibly so.”

A reach back in time with a photo from 2014 made in Eastern North Carolina in late March.  I haven’t been back to this location since this photo, and I’d surmise these trees in water may no longer exist, or if they do, they certainly appear different.

  1. I like the poem. I, also like peace and finding peace, which is the primary reason I abstain from news. Would much rather hang out in some park or natural area with birds, deer, foxes, herons, wind, and more….
It would be interesting to make a trip back just to see what nature has done to this scene.

    • Maybe we’ll head that way a little later this year. Have a good 4th of July weekend and holiday, Monte.

  2. Lovely poem. Lovely photo.
