“Morning came in through the blinds cutting everything into ribbons.”

With this photo, I’m humbly entering into a photography realm where a photographer friend, Monte, has proven to reign;  photos of morning sunshine through windows or window shades.  I feel I’m posing, and I don’t even have one of those beautifully decorated cups of latte or coffee that Monte usually features to raise my photo to the next level.

Still, this was my not so hard to live with view this morning.

  1. It wouldn’t hurt if we could all spend a bit more time just observing moments like this.

  2. Very well done, my friend! Wonderful balance between the shadows and the morning sunshine. Think Mark is on to something in that we all could spend more time observing these moments. Oh, and don’t forget your journal and fountain pen in a few of them. :-)

    • Oh drat, no coffee cup, no fountain pen, and no journal. This was a total bust and such a poor imitation. Back to the drawing board. Haha! :-)

      Thanks, Monte!

  3. It’s scenes like this that remind us to always be open to the unexpected gifts in unexpected places. You’ve captured a beautiful moment!
