“I was a thousand different people before I went to sleep.” ― Jenn Satsune

And this past weekend one of “those people” was in the northwestern North Carolina mountains to enjoy dear friends, good conversation, friendly games, excellent food, a little drink, and many, many laughs.  The 4700ft+ altitude and associated cool temperatures allowed jeans and long sleeves to replace shorts and tee-shirts while relishing morning coffee/tea, watching local wildlife and awaiting “islands-in-the-clouds.” Even if only for a few days, it was a wonderful relief from the recent heat!

Certainly more contemplative then complicated, grabbing a few days enjoying the simple pleasures of relaxation.  Many thanks to our gracious hosts!

  1. That’s not a bad way to spend a few days, Earl. We’d love to meet up with you, Bonnie and Maggie somewhere soon, give me a shout when you can – we seem to have a lot of free time these days! ;)

  2. Now that is the way to live life! A time the contemplative side to be nurtured.
