Bonnie and I recently have visited a couple of the local vineyards in the area which happen to also serve lunch. These short visits provide us the enjoyment a few hours in our “retirement convertible,” even tho we really can’t fully retire yet, while still returning us home before afternoon or evening storms have fully panic our dog Maggie. Travels this week took us just below the dam located between High Rock Lake and the Tuckertown Reservoir along the Yadkin River in North Carolina. Taking advantage of a public park/access point we pulled over to see how high water levels might be with the frequent rains we’ve been experiencing.
