“Upon this old familiar bench
From which I’ve spent a time or two,
Just gazing at the sky above
And watching chestnut trees,
Which change throughout the seasons
Now their copper leaves do fall,
Which gather on this stony path
And tossed upon the breeze…”
Excerpt from A View From The Park Bench – Andrew Blakemore
After this wonderful bench provided me peaceful moments sitting and enjoying the warm sun and beauty of autumn I thought it only fitting I should take it’s photo. Another pleasure I enjoy in autumn.
Outstanding job of capturing the warmth of the bench! It sure looks like a great place from which to soak up the sun’s rays.
Thanks, Steve. I was hoping the warmth of the bench and scene would come across. Sometimes you look at something so long you begin to doubt what you see.
Yes, that bench needed to be shared with us and how it help you relax and enjoy your day. We need to share one of those walks someday.
Monte, I know you’ve also got a thing for benches so when I published this photo you came to mind. I’d love to share a walk, thoughts and photographic experience some day. :-)
Nice. Looks mighty inviting…
Hey, PJ….it was so inviting I stayed a while! ;-)
Earl,
A very warm and inviting bench. I like the wood tones and it’s surroundings. Very nice!
