You seldom find a single or even a few Sweetgum Seed Pods laying alone on the ground. They all seem to fall from their common tree within the same few days.
So here’s a wider view of the photo area I published yesterday. Some of these will eventually be washed by rain or blown by wind into the river where currents may take them a great distance. Others may never move from this spot and will struggle trying to find a hold in the shifting sands.
Same lens and same focal length as the yesterdays photo, but about twice the distance from the subject(s).

Ray, I remember those days as well, and how much it stings if you get hit by one of these pods at close range. :-)
