Scenes from the morning’s walk: Harbingers of Spring
I’m seeing a lot of signs of spring on my morning walks. It was in the mid-70’s F this past Saturday, although it cooled back down the following day.

“If you’re an introvert, you also know that the bias against quiet can cause deep psychic pain. As a child you might have overheard your parents apologize for your shyness. Or at school you might have been prodded to come “out of your shell”— that noxious expression which fails to appreciate that some animals naturally carry shelter everywhere they go, and some humans are just the same.” ~ Susan Cain, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking (via creatingaquietmind)
First, a sincere thank-you to those who via the previous post left kind birthday wishes and encouraging words on my current inspirational slump and time away from photographing, as well as my lack of participating in any meaningful way in this my little corner of the “blogosphere.”
I’m still out here, but not feeling terribly connected to the Internet, this blog or photography at the moment.

To the end of this story
And I’ll let you go gently
Among your own kind…”
~ Races Lyrics, Glen Hansard
After two years working for an agency providing shelter and services for those in dire need I’ve been forever changed in the way I view these issues in our society. Since retiring, I’ve continue to offer my photographic services for this wonderful cause.
