Sloan Park walk
When we first adopted our dog Maggie riding in a car was her least favorite thing to do. She would whine and often howl like a siren and then throw up after only a few miles. A trip to the vet. was dreaded by both her and I.

A few local autumn sample images I’ve collected this week while being out-and-about. While there’s not widespread color there are some color “hot spots” here and there.

While the dam and often waterfalls are main attractions of the Cooleemee River Park, a walk above the dam can be interesting as well. There’s a trail which wanders along the river bank there with spots the local fishermen frequent evident along it. I followed this trail for perhaps a quarter of a mile before deciding to turn back on this particular visit and was rewarded for my exploration with a flash of autumn color along the river bank.

An enjoyable afternoon walk along wooded paths at nearby Sloan Park definitely displays signs of fall being just around the corner. I’m looking forward to it.
