It’s been a rainy week with snow at higher elevations and further north. The higher mountains we can see from our RV Park are white with snow. It’s not ideal weather for hiking and exploring…

Although most of the National Parks are very restrictive when it come to pets we’ve tried to find areas where Maggie can enjoy free time amid the natural beauty of Utah.

In a lovely green mountain valley at the head of the Santa Clara River in the Pine Valley Mountains lies the unincorporated census-designated small settlement of Pine Valley.

An easy drive from Monument Valley, Utah, through the canyon and mesa country north of the San Juan River takes you into an area when the ancestors of today’s Pueblo Indian Tribes lived. Round, square and D-shaped towers located along the canyon head mark once thriving communities.

Here’s a few photos on Meandering Passage of deep meanders of the San Juan River. The park was an unexpected find and quite impressive.
