Fall close by
An enjoyable afternoon walk along wooded paths at nearby Sloan Park definitely displays signs of fall being just around the corner. I’m looking forward to it.
Photo slideshow on a 16:9 HDTV
I’ve been working on a slideshow of my best photos from our recent Italy trip for after dinner enjoyment with the friends we travelled with. Normally I try and not bore people with vacation photos but when the audience is made up of those who experienced the same trip/locations it can be fun remembering and recalling stories around the photos. I’ve decided it would work best method to use my iPad and AppleTV to display these photos on our LCD TV using Airplay.
To the point
As election draw closer the road sides are full of “VOTE FOR” signs these days. However, yesterday while celebrating a beautiful day with a cruise in the convertible we came upon this road-side political sign in Badin, NC. I simply had to pull over and get a photo of it.
Morning Clouds
It was an interesting sky this morning at sunrise as I was walking our dog. A cold front pushed through over night breaking much of the heat and humidity we’ve been experiencing. These clouds, who’s tops are lit by sunshine, were the trailing edge of that front.
Passing by
The street scenes captured in these photos remind me life is not as complicated as we would believe it to be nor as simple as we might hope it to be. Sometimes events occur simultaneously on multiple levels.
Shot from the shade
Benches aren’t always the best place to be in a park. On hot humid days finding a spot under a tree, in the shade, looking out at the benches is often best. Many of the trees in this park have been donated in memory or honor of someone with numbered markers…
