Even if touring beautiful grounds with marvelous landscapes and wildlife, I’d still make time for the simple wonders. In this case a bee gathering pollen from an attractive bloom on a very prickly weed, a common Thistle.
All that pollen makes my want to sneeze just looking at the photo. :-)
Have a grand and peaceful weekend!
A fine close up of this thistle and its visitor! Excellent detail and color.
Thanks, Don. I’m not a fan of the plant but I have to admit it’s flower is attractive.
Great color and composition and it’s tack-sharp. A very nice shot!
Ken, thanks. I particularly drawn by closeups…something about the often unseen details of this small world.
That is a great image, Earl! The warm tones, the gentle vignetting and the shallow DoF play very well with the subject. And I just adore the details of the bee and the pollen. Very fascinating work!
You’ve chosen good words “simple wonders.” The closer we get to nature the more wonders we get to experience, life changing wonders. Have a great week, Earl!!
Makes me wonder if bees get allergies. That could be a tough, one! Great shot, Earl.
Beautiful details and the colors are deliciously rich. I’m glad you didn’t sneeze!
