Clouds over mountains
Clouds over Mountains

Nothing new to say here, only that I’m hoping it cools down some this weekend. We’ve recorded over 100°F on our front porch the last two afternoons.

This photo was made en route to the Smokey Mountains and processed with split toning for something a little different.

Have a good weekend. ;-)

A fine landscape shot with such nice clouds. I like the special toning.

It sounds like time for an ice cold lemonade and some shade. Really sharply defined contrast in those clouds, they almost overpower the mountains. I smile because I was just outside enjoying the shade at the hotel and just watching the clouds roll over head. Great minds think the same, I guess.

Hi Earl,

Same here in MA, over 90 degrees for the last 5 days. Lots of clouds here this morning, and it’s fairly pleasant, less humidity. We’re supposed to have rain and thunder storms this afternoon and tomorrow, hopefully it will cool off some.
Beautiful photo, I love the sky and cloudy, great capture. Have a wonderful weekend!

Cool down happening here also, and well received! I don’t think we hit over 100, but pretty close.

I love the split toning, it makes this shot so powerful. We had 5 days of 90+ today we are getting a break, enjoy the cooldown weekend.

Hi Earl,

We are actually having rain and thunder right now. Good to see the rain, it’s been a while, and the temps have dropped to about 75 degrees, but there is still humidity.
As far as the new iPad? I LOVE IT. My photos look great on and I’ve been playing around with some photo apps, pretty cool. Everyone I’ve shown it to wants one! Apple always makes great products that people want.

As of this moment (6 AM) the temperature is only 59 degrees but earlier in the week it hit 90 degrees for a couple of days. As fate would have it, that was also the day I began painting the last two sides of the house. I honestly don’t know how you folks in the south take the heat!

That dramatic sky and the cloud formations are brilliant – what a stunning landscape! Fabulous work, Earl!
