Short Stop Off Interstate 10

Van Horn, Texas, was just a short stop off Interstate 10 as we were heading west early in 2016. The RV park was a dusty dirt lot almost full of long-term pipeline workers building a pipeline in the area. In 2016, you could travel from one end of the town to the other in about 30 seconds if you drove slowly. After getting our RV parked and set up, we went for a little ride to see a bit of the area, which was mostly open desert country and lonely roads.
You’ll find additional photos of the area here.

You have done an excellent job on this image. It has a good feel to me. Brings up the question how far does this road go and what will I find there?
Thanks, Monte. We spent one night and about half a day in the area, and it felt like plenty of time to see the sights. It would be interesting to go back and see the changes after 10 years.
