Devil’s Flower Garden

“Abstraction allows man to see with his mind what he cannot see physically with his eyes….Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite. It is the emancipation of the mind. It is an exploration into unknown areas.”
― Arshile Gorky
A bit of an explanation: The base photo for this piece was made from just outside Glen Haven General Store in Glen Haven, Colorado, along Devil’s Gulch Road (Hwy 43), where we’d stopped to explore the store’s merchandise, and where, on the way out, Bonnie asked me to get a picture of these beautiful, brightly colored flowers. So I did, although she probably didn’t think of seeing them like this. The logic here is, if this gulch and road were the Devil’s, then these flowers could also be the Devil’s. Well, duh! 😁

Butifully stylized photo, Earl. It’s good on its own, but you made it a little special. Well done.
Thank you, Ken, I appreciate that. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’re having a good fall.
So far so good!!!
LOL First of all I love this image of the Devil’s flowers. You’ve done another fine job of post processing on this image.
Thank you, Monte. I have a few more images queued for later this week that are more on the ummm…creative side.
