Satellite Dishes Amid Ancient Rooftops

It took me a moment to notice all the satellite dishes on the roofs in this photo, and this was in 2012, so it might undoubtedly be worse today. I also noticed that you now have to book advanced reservations to visit the gardens. In contrast, it was merely a walk-in visit in 2012—these reservations must be part of efforts to control the overcrowded tourism that much of Europe is experiencing.

We don’t have to worry about over-tourism from other countries here in the USA, our notorious convicted felon president and the party of hate and greed have seen to that. 🤫
