Near Ninety You Say

Things are happening quickly this spring. After an unusually warm and short winter, spring blooms are appearing early and rapidly. They seem to need to because there are signs that summer may arrive with a vengeance. The forecast predicts high temperatures near 90°F this weekend.

These are the same Iris blooms photographed less than 24 hours apart.

Glad to hear you are expecting warm weather. While here in Colorado we have rain/snow showers all morning. Everything was covered in white earlier. Yet, we are expecting temperatures in the 70s next week. Beautiful Iris!!!
It’s too early for nearly ninety-degree temperatures here. I believe normal average highs would be in the seventies. Thanks, and have a good weekend, Monte.
It’s 45 degrees here and it seems like a summer day. Hard for me to think of near 90 but I am happy for you. Lovely photos, too!
Are you experiencing cooler-than-normal temperatures? Here, I would prefer the typical high of the 70s. It scares me to think how hot this summer might be. Thanks, Ken, and have a good weekend.
That temp would be too soon for me. We hate to see 90 before July! :)
This is much too soon for me and for here as well, Mark. I expect it to be more normal later in May or June. As I write this, it’s late afternoon and 86, so it may not make it to 90 today. Thanks, and have a good rest of your weekend.
