“Festivus” Tree Top

Atop our tree, a sight so rare,
A blue Eucalyptus, beyond compare.
No twinkling star and no angel bright,
Just nature’s touch, a festive delight.

As we drove into northern Pennsylvania, the autumn leaf colors became more pronounced, and we knew that we would probably hit peak or near peak colors in upper New York and Vermont. There were so many places I wanted to pull over and stop the car to photograph; it’s a wonder we made as good…

I wasn’t aware in the moment of the totality of this image. What I noticed was two small bushes one with red and the other with purplish leaves. I took the image overhead, looking down upon those bushes and wasn’t fully aware the leaves of the forest floor furnished such a wonderful backdrop.
Well written, my friend! This post, image and poem, brightened my morning. Thank you. Jumping into our creativity may be the best thing we can do in these unsettling times for ourselves and those around us. A festive delight! Show me more!!
Thank you, Monte. I agree that we must find strength and creativity within ourselves to manage the external turmoil currently in the world around us.
