Dear Santa,
Let’s try this again.
All I want for next year is a fat bank account and a slim body. Please don’t mix the two up like you did last year.
Thinking ahead: quickly following Festivus and Christmas is New Year’s, along with the notorious New Year’s resolutions. The most popular resolutions revolve around getting in shape and losing weight.
Personally, I like to think I am in touch with reality and have learned some fundamental life truths. At this stage in my life, a fast and sleek sports car is neither practical nor affordable, and the same goes for my body. I am happiest with a practical mid-size SUV with ample seating and a comfortable ride. 😁
LOL This blog bost and your humor was a wonderful gift to start my morning. Thank you! I also gave up on the red sports car, not just because of the cost but getting in and out would be a challenge today. My red steed is more my style now and in my price range. I’m okay with ample seating and comfortable ride in my old Subaru Forester. And, not having a fat bank account keeps my feet more solidly on the ground of reality. Otherwise, I’d probably bought a more expensive bicycle. Love this photo!!!
I’m glad you found a moment of humor in this post, Monte. I’m not counting on either item for this coming year, though. Thanks!
Those are some lofty goals, Earl. I mean compared to mine.
It’s the old aim high principle, Ken. Do you still have a lot of snow on the ground up there?
Not a trace!
