Leaves On Water
Behind our place, in the woods, lies a depression that catches water runoff during heavy rains and for photography, often offers colorful reflections through the trees. It’s wise to photograph this during the colder temperatures of late fall, as during the summer, when there is water present, the mosquitos will make a quick banquet out of you.
It provides some beautiful colors!

I just love these scenes. This is our natural world, mosquitoes and all. And, 10 seconds later or a season later the scene will look different which keeps us going back. At first I focused on the leaves and their patterns then I shifted to the reflections. I hope you return and share more images and as well as your thoughts.
As I said, late fall and winter are the times for photographing water in this depression. We’ll see what the winter brings. Thanks again, Monte.

I think of that too, Mark, but during warmer weather, I usually think of it while moving or from a distance as a particular part of the life this body of water nurtures wants to eat humans alive. 😉
