Young lemons @JUN2024

Bonnie’s lemon tree is in its third year with us, and each season, it grows a little more and produces delicious fruit. We have it in a large pot to bring it inside during the winter and give it a headstart each spring. The photo shows only two of the many young lemons on the tree this year. They appear as regular lemons in looks, but these are a hybrid lemon/orange variety with a unique sour/sweet taste.

The tree has been well-fertilized, so the greens are deep and dark. This shot was made early in the morning, just as the sun kissed the top leaves.

A bit late commenting here but love the greens in this image. My sister and brother-in-law have a couple of these trees and a lime tree. Nothing like freshly made lemonade. And, my sister does make a mean keylime pie!
