β€œThe painter constructs, the photographer discloses.”

…and often, imagination is a beneficial catalyst.

So, perhaps one such story this photo could disclose…

A man grabbed himself a beer and decided to sit at a table. To his surprise, a little bird landed and calmly sat on a chairback beside him. As he was pondering his day, a high-pitched voice said, “It sure is a nice day, isn’t it?” The man looked around, saw nothing, and continued to enjoy his drink. But then, a moment later, the voice returned, saying, “You seem like a really knowledgeable guy!” The man looked around again, still saw nothing, and continued to drink, feeling a bit uneasy. Finally, when he thought the voice was gone, he heard it say, “I bet you know some good places to eat around here!” He slammed his drink down and looked around frantically. Unable to find the source of the voice, he said out loud, “What is that voice I keep hearing?”

After a moment, the little bird looks at the guy and says, “Well, don’t get all upset. I just overheard the bartender say that you’ve been known to buy an appealing ‘bird’ a drink or two.”

‘Bird’ is British slang meaning girl.

Credit where credit is due: The story is very loosely adapted from an old joke about a guy in a bar and complimentary peanuts.

Thank you for the image, the story and chuckle! These are my kind of street scenes.

I like your approach to this craft and hope I follow the same approach. Seems to show in peoples images just how they approach their photography. I love the work you do with your camera in hand as well as your post processing of some images. Love your words also.
