The number one response from a recent survey asking mothers what they would like as a gift for Mother’s Day was simply a day off or away from their daily duties. It’s amazing the number of productive and positive things mothers, or women in general, do quietly with little recognition or reward. Things which make us men and the world around us a little better. My own mother passed away 11 years ago but I still think of her often and recognize her influence in me.
So, may all mothers and women as a whole have a wonderful day which includes those few moments “away from it all.”
