Yesterday, two friends and fellow bloggers, Paul and Tom and I attended the Photo Wild event at the nearby Carolina Raptor Center. Paul posted a very good synopsis of the event so I won’t rehash words here about the event.
Often when “playing” with a photo the final direction it’s to take is initially unclear leaving me to seemingly follow along. The basics of the image above were already in the photo…
…I like the tone and actuality of the quote above. We can’t expect or demand so much from ourselves that we are doomed to fall short; “do what you can as best as you could.”…
@Monte: At first I saw the blades of grass as a distraction but there’s also something fascinating about them as well. Something that makes me look longer at the photo then I would otherwise. I still can’t quite say what it is and it certainly breaks “the rules” but for some reason I do like them. Go figure? :-)
A beautiful flower shot. I like the strand of green crossing the picture for its contrast with the yellow/orange color. Nice one.
The two blades of grass are a distraction but I love the colors!!!! Not sure what the name of the plant is but I like it.

David deChumin calls them principles not rules. LOL I like that, as we do break them all the time.
@Monte: Principles–I like that!
