Since the first 31 days have passed for the SoFoBoMo ’09 project many books are being completed. I’m impressed by all of them and have spent much time looking and reading many of them. I hope to “keep-up” with the completions and eventually view each of them.
One I enjoyed very much this morning was “MAMA-SAN SAY...” by Debra Hall. Even beyond the beautiful photography and book design, it resonated with me on several levels. Over a period of 17 years I worked and developed close friendships with many Japanese so some of the philosophy of the Mama-San sayings were familiar to me and made me smile. Also my own mother passed away last year so it was a pleasant few moments thinking of mine while sharing Debra’s.

I finally got to viewing finished books and wanted to congratulate you on your delicious “recipe”. I hope you are enjoying a well-deserved sense of accomplishment. I enjoyed your book so much I plan to return and take it in at a more leisurely pace. I also hope to catch up on some of your recent posts that I have missed. (I was especially relieved to hear that Foster is doing well.)
@Anita: Thank-you. While I enjoyed doing my SoFoBoMo ’09 book I have to say it’s a relief to have it done. I can now enjoy all the other beautiful participant books at my leisure. ;-)
@Earl: I’d have to agree with Anita. Your book was excellent. It was very well thought out, laid out, and more important (to me at least), very ‘soulful’. Also, thanks for sharing the link to Mama San. I really enjoyed it!
Paul: Thanks!
