I logged in Meandering Passage Admin this morning and noticed that I’ve passed the 1,000 post mark–this post is post number 1,004.
When I started this blog in January 2006 I didn’t know if I would stick to it this long. There are many “projects” I’ve started in the past and not completed. Like myself, Meandering Passage has had its share of growing pains and changes over the last three years.
It’s now less Apple Mac and more photography centric…as am I.
I don’t see ruining a winning streak now. Hopefully, I’ll still be here to mark off 2,000 post and my family, friends, fellow bloggers and readers will sill be visiting. ;-)
Hey Earl,
Congrats on passing the 1000 mark!
I’ve often thought of focusing my blog down on a smaller subject range. Does it make it easier for you to come up with posts? I just still worry that I’m far too scatterbrained to stick to one or two subjects.
Hi Richard,
Thanks, and I can’t say it makes it any easier to come up with posts. Out of 1,000, probably 950 of them were struggles to write. ;-)
Meandering Passage is still not tightly focus on a niche and I’m sure I’ve broken every successful blogging rule there is. But then I’ve always seen things in shades of grey and never simply black and white. I do wonder sometimes why I’m doing it?
But heck, after 1,000 posts how do you chuck it in and walk away? :-)
Congratulations on passing an impressive landmark. Here’s to the next 1000!
I look forward to the next 1000+!
Congrats! That’s a lot of posts!
Keep it up. I enjoy stopping by, and seeing photos like this one makes it very nice indeed.
A beautiful shot to commemorate your 1,000th. Congrats… and keep posting!
Wow, 1k posts! Amazing, what a contribution. I really like this shot, and coincidentally I went to Williamsburg today!
@Bob: We were there this past January with a temp of 28°F…I’m thinking you had nicer weather! :-)
