Winters Pond
I normally trim back the scrubs around the house in late winter before new growth begins. The last two years I’ve been caught flat footed with warm weather signaling early buds and blooms. This year I beat it to the punch–Today I finished the major trimming and added a new layer of pine needles. Heck, it makes it look like someone actually lives at the place again! :-)
I find yard work mostly pleasurable with a bonus of providing much pondering time. Today I was pondering a wireless networking issue I’m dealing with on my wife and daughters computers and I came away with a couple of new ideas to try.
No matter the pondering results, I always finish a day outdoors in a much better frame of mind then when I started.
