While taking photos I sometimes come upon a scene I could easily envision myself in, or perhaps better said, one where I could wish myself in. I believe it revolves around the scene radiating a sense of mental respite.

Paul Lester recently featured a photo of early morning fishing in fog that reminded me of this and I came upon this beautiful historic home among the trees during my own photo wanderings which also “fits that bill.” I could imagine sitting in a rocking chair or swing in the shade of that porch watching and listening to the birds while sipping on a cool drink.

What you don’t see in this photo is that just below the field of view is a “For Sale” sign. So yes, this dream could be yours.

I believe I’ll just leave it to my imagination for the time being. ;-)

Interesting that you mention that. I saw a similar home: http://paullesterphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/6118673_MQECp#384728570_Wx2nY-A-LB and felt the same way. It, too, was for sale, but I didn’t even look to see how much it was. :-) I could see myself sitting on the porch, enjoying the nice autumn weather, sipping on a nice, refreshing drink. Ahhhh

Oh yeah. I took this picture the day after you posted your shots of the historic area of your town. I went for a walk around downtown Summerville, SC.
