Gotta have an ending…
ByBonnieIf you’ve been following Meandering Passage of late, you know Earl and I are in the process of dismantling our old life and preparing to start anew. It’s a monumental task and one we both wish would be over sooner than later. But many sleepless nights and frantic walks in the park have jolted me into realizing what’s happening here —

Venice, Italy
ByEarlVenice, Italy After landing at Milan we rented a car and drove about three hours to the Hotel Tritone located in Mestre, a 30 minute bus ride outside of Venice. There’s many hotels in Venice proper but staying at one means you have to haul you luggage via water taxi or water bus…not something we wanted to do. We purchased a pass which gave us free access to the both the regular buses lines and the Venice water buses for a 24 hour period so we could hop on and off at our discretion.













All I could say was “Wow, where’d all the blue sky and clouds come from?” I loved all these images but must say I stopped and stared at the old weathered door.
Monte, I had all that blue sky and fluffy clouds shipped in special for these photos! :-) Yes, the door holds a lot of interest and no doubt could tell a few good tales. It’s the entrance to an old building right on the water and it looked as if someone was living there. Besides the flowers beside the door, there was a small habachi style grill setting at the beginning of the wooden entrance-way and a bicycle off to one side.
And, they may be the happiest people in the world.
