It may seem like chaos but there is nothing disturbing about it. Nature’s chaos can and does calm the soul.

Chaos, something I like to ponder a lot! At some level of perception, maybe it is high above, maybe microscopic, I’m sure this place has quite a bit of order.

I suppose there is some type of order that picks where those plants want to grow. Maybe collection of water spots?

My kind of image, Brooks. I love it!

You gotta remember that all of this sandstone was formed millions of years ago when the area was covered by a large, shallow sea. The sand has since “petrified”, forming large rock-like dunes. Erosion did the rest. The color is mostly from iron deposits leeching into the sand. Chaos and order, all in the same package!
