Between the Island Park area, Idaho, and Ashton, Idaho, you’ll find the beautiful Mesa Falls Scenic Byway passing through the lush Targhee National Forest. It’s a scenic loop drive of nearly thirty impressive miles which includes the beautiful lower and upper Mesa Falls.
In a lovely green mountain valley at the head of the Santa Clara River in the Pine Valley Mountains lies the unincorporated census-designated small settlement of Pine Valley.
After a week of hot and humid days we were due some nice weather and so when it showed up we took advantage to investigate some local sights. One of these was St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
Hidden pond. Well, that certainly was hidden. I didn’t even know that it was there and it’s practically around the corner from me. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
Yelp, discovered this pond by accident just a short walk through woods beside the KOA. There are some nice homes on the other side of the pond. We got the stare-down by a homeowner this past Sunday, guess they don’t see many people out exploring. Wednesday it is!
Nothing better than a fall walk with a good friend. Tell Maggie she took some nice images.
And she doesn’t even have thumbs! :-o
Thanks

Well you are just finding fall color everywhere now aren’t you? :-)
It finds me, Mark. Maggie and I are just out enjoying the outdoors and exploring. :-)
