Sikeston Signs

While walking among the small shops and brick streets of Sikeston, MO, there were a number of interesting signs.
A few of which I’m sharing here — interesting subject matter indeed. :-)

Hello, Kent! Great to hear from you. We’re staying about a mile east of Lambert’s on Malone Ave. Every time we’ve been by Lambert’s parking lot is packed and with daily thunderstorms and a dog that is scared to death of them we haven’t had an opportunity to “catch” any Lambert’s rolls. It may have to wait for another trip.
Did you hitch up your britches, Brooks? No sagging!
Yelp, Paul, just as high as they would go…under my arm pits! LOL No sagging here!
I would be tossed from the store because my britches naturally sag.
Steve, my britches are usually baggy because as Bonnie tells me I don’t have a butt. However, I don’t think baggy is the same as sagging. ;-)
LOL I would love to lose weight so my pants sagged. :-) Those signswill make a person smile and be careful how we say them.
Monte, you wouldn’t think there would be such a sagging problem in the mid-west would you, Monte? I guess you never know, do you. I laughed out loud when I saw the Falkoff’s sign…a dirty mind is such a terrible thing to waste.

I love signs and you got some good ones. Sounds like that Lambert’s place might have been worth the effort but you do what you can do!
It’s no secret, Tom, that during thunderstorms Miss Maggie gets all our attention. She’s getting a little better, with lots of experience lately, but still can’t be left alone during bad weather. Lambert’s menu was a southern style menu…with pass-arounds, etc. It was probably good, but right or wrong we felt it wouldn’t be far outside what we already had experienced. Maybe some other time when we pass through Sikeston. :-)
