As a child I can remember my mother taking my sister and I to the Holiday or Christmas Parade in the small town I grew up in.
I don’t think small town Christmas parades have changed much in the last 40 years and it seems that now, as then, kids still enjoy them immensely.
My wife and I attended the Christmas Parade in Salisbury, NC this past Wednesday afternoon (Nov 21st.) Standing there brought back memories from my childhood of waiting anxiously for the parade to begin and then frantically trying to see everything that passed in full detail.
I think this parade was longer then the ones I attended as a child. There seemed to be more “officials” riding in convertibles in this one. I guess it’s a busy season for politicians and club officers.
I took well over two hundred photos during the event and thought I would share a few of them here.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
