The Black & White – 001 (War)

Yet children reach out to each other. Their laughter rises momentarily above the rubble, bright and fragile. The expressions on their faces show the promise of lives not yet lived; their arms reflect the comfort they ought never to have to find in the ruins.
How can we look away as childhood is broken and grief takes root in another generation? Every act of violence leaves its mark—not only amid the ashes of what was lost, but in the sorrow carried forward, waiting to grow into someone else’s anger.
Among the ruins, they hold on to one another. Let that be more than a fleeting moment. Let it be a reason to choose a different future.
