Zora, Watch Out Billy

| | |
Life Frames, A little red haired girl seeks revenge on her brother Billy for taking a cookie.
Why is it so hard for everyone to understand that I was only protecting my cookies? When my brother stole one, I got so angry I yelled the bad word Daddy uses when he thinks no one’s listening — the one he always tells me not to say. Mom’s eyes popped open like she’d seen a ghost. She slapped her hand over her mouth, gasping as if she’d just run a race.

Okay, I shouldn’t have tackled Billy. I shouldn’t have pulled his hair until he cried. But lying is worse than hair-pulling, and Mom’s not saying one word to him for saying he didn’t take it. They always think it’s my fault. Maybe sometimes it is. But nobody ever listens to my side.

I’m going to glare at Billy so hard he’ll wish he never touched my cookies. Watch out, Billy. I know where you sleep.
