Ten Years Ago, and Now

Columbus, TX @Jan2016
During our time full-time RVing (2015-2017), we experienced some hot weather. At times, the double air conditioning units in our fifth wheel had to work hard and ran almost constantly just to maintain a comfortable temperature. However, I don’t recall the heat feeling as oppressive as it does now. Yesterday and again today, the heat index reached around 108°F in the Charlotte, NC area, and this isn’t the only time we’ve faced temperatures like this this summer.
Recently, while watching a Sunday morning program, a climatologist was asked what message he would share with younger generations. He replied, “On average, this is probably the coolest summer of the rest of your lives.”
Let that thought sink in for a while.
