Evening Wildflowers

“Like wildflowers; you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.” E.V.

Trying to meet others’ expectations is a never-ending cycle that drains our energy and diminishes the essence of who we really are.

I have a great deal of respect for wildflowers. People often visit the best plant nurseries to buy healthy flowering plants, custom potting soil, and prescribed fertilizers. They go to great lengths to plant or repot them carefully, water them, and check on them daily. In contrast, wildflowers can thrive in what appears to be barren soil under the worst conditions, only to be noticed as more than a weed after they bloom beautifully. You can’t help but admire them for their survivability and their story.

I very much agree. It seems we may have things twisted when we label on plant a weed when it may be the most attractive and even beneficial to nature. This scene is so inviting to me. Makes me want to step into the image and lay down among those plants!!

I totally relate. I probably would have to roll over on my stomach, got up on my hands and knees then stand up.
