Welcomed May Rain
“Rainy days should be spent at home with a cup of tea and a good book.”
― Bill Watterson, The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book
Perhaps coffee instead of tea, but a good book nevertheless.

Thanks to the last several days, May of this year has turned out to be wetter than normal, but we remain far below our average rainfall for the year to date. The prior eight months were all well below normal rainfall levels, so with this recent rain, the drought only eases a bit. Rain, like other things, becomes more appreciated when it’s scarce.

I love the image! I will say the same for moisture here. We are way below our normal rainfall and snowfall. With the recent rains we have also seen snowfall in the high country but still not enough to compensate for the drought we are in. It has been overcast and cool today with possible rain this afternoon. I’m thinking about rolling the car windows down for awhile or at least until we get a half inch or so of rain. We will take anything and appreciate it.
I left a comment earlier but kept getting a Nonce error. So here it is again. I love the image. Full of spring time feel. We are getting sprinkles as I type. Smells wonderful! Glad you are getting rain just as we are. They have even had some nice snow in the high country. Way behind on the drought scene.
Happy you’re enjoying some rain as well. Monte. Hopefully, there will be more for both of us. I’ve got no clue what might have been causing you errors. There have been no changes here that I’m aware of.
