Acceptance

“Flowers and fruits are always fit presents; flowers, because they are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Despite an erratic cold-warm winter, a very early start to spring, and an extreme spring drought, our flowers and ferns seem to have flourished so far without even having to water excessively! Perhaps it’s another lesson to teach me that you can’t always predict the future by “norms” from the past. I think I’m just going to file this away as a grateful oddity, along with an ever-growing list of things I don’t understand, but accept nevertheless.
