New Growth
“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”

This week’s post will likely feature a mix of content, including this recent photograph of new spring growth, made with my phone while walking Bentley, an image from my archives, made during our RV days, and one created from my imagination. I don’t expect to include many words, as I’m feeling a bit “tapped out” at the moment. Have a good week, everyone!

Here are two versions of photos I took of the same plant, which Bentley kindly allowed me to capture during our morning walk. Due to my indecision, I decided to include both versions.

Both of these are just so lovely, Earl.
Thanks, Ken, I appreciate it.
I really like the tonality and color palette of the top image Earl, plus the way the leaf veins stand out with the soft background. It has a very calming mood, a good image to stare at in these stressful times.
Thanks, Mark. I like the first image for the same reasons you mentioned, but I also keep looking at the second image. Instead of choosing one, I decided to keep both. It’s probably going to be that kinda week! ;-)
Both great, albeit with different feels to them.
Thanks, Howard. They certainly ended up at different places in my processing efforts.
I like them both. Beautifully done background bokeh on them. I like the veins on both of the images. And, the color is strikingly different which gives a very different vibe.
For those differences, each with its own appeal, I couldn’t make a choice. Thanks, Monte!
So glad you post both versions. Both are gorgeous.
And I’m glad you enjoy both of them!
