Waiting For The Day To Begin
“Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.”
― Meister Eckhart
Here are five additional Digital Watercolor Illustrations as a follow-up to my previous post (“Waiting For The Rain To End”). I do like this artistic style for portraits of people in their everyday “life moments.”
In my previous post, I discussed using one of my photos as a muse, so I thought it might be helpful to include the original photograph (the last image) that inspired these renderings. Each illustration was created using nearly identical instructions or prompts. Although they are unique in their own ways, I believe they each capture the essence and, in most cases, convey the emotions of the original photo.
Photo Background: This photo has been previously published in a post. During an early-morning exploration of the back streets and canals of Venice, Italy, in 2012, I spotted a mature gentleman standing in the doorway of his small shop. He appeared tired and, understandably, may not have been looking forward to the influx of tourists that would soon turn the peaceful surroundings into chaos. I sensed that he wasn’t in a very cheerful mood. 😉

These are amazing!
Thank you, Pepper. I’m glad you like them.
Another wonderful series of images. I am impressed by how unique each rendition is, which leads to the idea that there is not limit. The feeling each ones gives is amazing!! Well done, again!
Thank you, Monte. I was very pleased with how accurately the illustrations reflected the emotional impression of the original photo. These renderings highlighted the significant impact of subtle nuances of facial and body expressions. A bonus!
The expressions are great!
Thanks, Howard. One of the surprises that exceeded my expectations.
